Morons from Section 23 Shah Alam

The recent racially motivated incident where a bunch of morons from Section 23, Shah Alam took to the streets with a cow head to protest against the proposal to relocate a Hindu temple within their vicinity is a total barbaric act.

And the fact that the morons carried it out after the Friday prayers in the month of Ramadhan brings a total shame to the Muslim teachings at large. Wtf were they thinking? Is this what religion preaches us? An atheist can do better than this at any given time.

And even better than this, is the fact the police did not take any action against them, the very same police who appears without any invitation on a peaceful non racially related opposition gathering.

Will the state do something about it, because the federal will be more than happy to see an unsettled Selangor.

Memory Storage, Now and Then

The huge sized 1GB memory is from IBM built for mainframes in late 1970’s. The same 1GB memory comes in a SD card nowadays! as shown above. What a wonderful technological advancement. Infact we have the Micro SD card which is at least 4x smaller a SD card. 20 years down the road I can imagine 1 Exabyte or 1 Zettabyte at the size of a Micro SD.

1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte
1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte
1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte
1024 Gigabytes = 1 Terabyte
1024 Terabytes = 1 Petabyte
1024 Petabytes = 1 Exabyte - In 2000, 3 exabytes of information was created
1024 Exabytes = 1 Zettabyte
1024 Zettabyte = 1 Zottabyte
1024 Zottabyte = 1 Brontobyte - that is a 1 followed by 27 zeroes!!

Make Money writing about Malaysia!!!

I stumbled upon this website www.simonseeks.com which pays for sharing about your holiday experience. This British holiday website was founded by Simon Nixon, the man behind the successful travelsupermarket.com and moneysupermarket.com.

When I looked up on Malaysia, there were only reviews for Langkawi, Perhentian, Borneo, Melaka and Shopping in Kuala Lumpur.

I am sure reviews on places like Tioman, Sipadan, Penang, Nightlife in Kuala Lumpur, Genting & Cameron Highlands and Local festivals like Thaipusam would be a great attraction for foreigners.

What is Simonseeks.com?

It's a website where travellers and budding journalists share their holiday advice by writing guides on destinations they have visited.

After reading a review you can then book your holiday directly through the site. Revenue is then paid to the website for these bookings and this money is then split 50/50 with the website and author of the guide which prompted the booking.

How does it work?

The website says, you write a travel guide to a destination you've visited and upload it to Simonseeks.com. The website will then promote the guide and as the article starts getting rated you have the potential to make money from it. It seems very simple.

While anyone can write for the website, there is an editorial vetting process. The guides are checked by an editorial team to make sure they meet quality standards. The author then gets a share in the sales commission and advertising revenue generated as a result of their guide.

Potential writers must register and create a profile before submitting a guide and uploading pictures. This part of the process is free. So there is no hidden up-front cost for writers.

Once you have published your first guide you can check back to read other users reviews of your guide and see how it has been rated. You can reply to reviews, and re-edit your guide at anytime to improve or update it.

You will have to set up a PayPal account, and once you've made £50 (RM 275)  you can begin to take out the money you've made.

In simple words, if your article gets published, for every reader that signs up for a holiday upon reading your review, the site will pay you 5% of their holiday package.  So for a minimum holiday package of £800 ( RM 4400). You are bound to pocket RM220. If five people signs up in year. Thats a cool RM 1000 for only spending about a couple of hours of writing!!

Have a look at the website (www.simonseeks.com), and you might be interested to share your holiday experience for some potential return.

Sir Alex, are you feeling a little cheeky?

I wonder why did Sir Alex Ferguson all of a sudden decided to bring in Michael Owen to Old Trafford. Owen was only weighing the offers from Premier League strugglers Stoke and Hull until a surprise buzz from Sir Alex made the Anfield legend change his mind. At his current form he definitely not a like for like replacement neither Ronaldo nor Tevez. Chances are he might click with Rooney but that is yet to be seen. One sure thing is Sir Alex has the ability to bring the best out from all his players. Not to forget with the World Cup is looming next summer, this could be the best decision for Owen to prove himself and increase his chances to be recalled to the national squad. Thus, the reported significant salary reduction that he accepted might be justified.

Since 1964 there have only been 3 players who have played for both these clubs. Owen is certainly the most high profile player of the trio. Next season, both this club will be breathing on each others neck chasing the elusive 19th premiership title, an achievement which will make Man Utd snatch away the greatest club in the English Football League history title from Liverpool for the very first time. To put the matters worse, Liverpool has just uplifted themselves from being a mere top four finisher to title contender last season just in time to frustrate Ferguson. This was pretty obvious as he willingly started a spat with Benitez after Christmas when Liverpool was sitting on the pinnacle of the table. Not forgetting the massive scar that was left on him after the two league losses Man Utd incurred at the hands of Liverpool which includes a humiliating home defeat.

Thus, I have every reason to believe that Ferguson is trying to accomplish the elusive feat by including Owen who is still adored by Anfield fans. You are definitely trying to be a little cheeky, aren't you Sir Alex?

With the huge transfer kitty he has from the departure of Ronaldo, I am sure Ferguson can splash on more prolific forwards. Owen has yet to prove himself ever since he left Anfield  five years ago and he has been frequently kept on the sidelines due to injuries.

However I wish all the best to the true Anfield legend and hopefully he will find his way to South Africa. Just that dont find your form against the Scoucers.

(Disclaimer: The above information is only best to my knowledge. I hold no responsibility for inaccurate information.)

Despite the fact that the British and the American are the two biggest English speaking nation, they seems to contradict in many ways and remain extremely distinctive.

On the hand Malaysian a nation which was ruled by the British for more than a century, remain strongly influenced by the British.

However I wish Malaysia can also follow the British foot step in ensuring less number of toll roads and educating the public to become more courteous on the road.
